What
is the National Youth Service?
The
National Youth Service founded in 1973 by the government of Jamaica
provides various career opportunities to young Jamaicans age 17-24,
who have successfully completed high school and wish to access
invaluable training/work experience or further their studied.

The
Steps to Achieve
STEP1
- Training
Camp
Orientations
takes place over a period of four weeks. The curriculaum involves
self-development, work ethics, public speaking, grooming, protocal,
and ethics.
STEP2
- Job Placement / National Service
During
this period participants are placed in an institution or organization
relevant to their chosen field of study. A forthnightly monetary
contribution is given to subsidies participants' expenses.
